Really nothing to say here… I’ve been sleeping lots, trying to shrug off this cold. It’s migrated down into my chest a bit, but not particularly badly – I haven’t felt the need to take any of my asthmatic medication yet.
In bright news, the infamous “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy has been repealed in congress. For those in Oz, that means that openly gay/lesbian people can serve in the US military, which I think is a positive step forwards. On the flip side, the so-called “Dream Act” was defeated in the same session. Because of course illegal immigrants who came here as children and have served in the military for two years can’t possibly be an asset to the country, could they? At some point in time, this country is going to have to face up to its illegal immigrant problem in a way that works.
