Be exhausted

I slept in this morning, and spent most of this afternoon running a dungeons and dragons game for some friends. Afterwards, I went off to an Australia Day party (as Australia day itself is not a public holiday in the US, for some silly reason) at a friend’s place. There was a lot of food there, and the company was good. Food included jelly babies (who’d’ve thunk that they were an Australian thing?), pavlova (proudly Australian, thank you Mr OED), and pizza shapes (my favourite flavour of shapes!). I stayed at the party for about two and a half hours, before moving on to do some groceries. I got home at about 9 this evening, and have spent the past two and a half hours cleaning, vacuuming, and doing laundry. My room is clean, on the bright side. I’ve done no work, on the not-so-bright side. The kitchen is still a mess, alas, and I’m about to spend the next hour or so cleaning it up to an extent (I refuse to clean the dishes contaminated with greasy meatstuffs that housemates made). For some reason, I’m feeling uncharacteristically exhausted. I’ll sleep well tonight.
